TIG welding (Tungsten Inert Gas) is a welding process whereby the welding arc is formed between a non-consumable tungsten electrode and base material. The shielding gas (most common of which is Argon) is fed through the TIG torch to shield the electrode and molten weld pool. The Hawk Tools DC TIG welder series is suitable for welding un-alloyed and low-alloy steels, stainless steels and titanium.
